Bus Topology

Many devices connect to a single backbone cable. If the backbone breaks, the entire segment fails. Bus topologies are relatively cheap and easy to install and don't require much cabling compared to the alternatives. However, if too many nodes connect to a single bus, network congestion is likely to occur.
