Cost of down-time when network fails.

Again "Time is money" and when a network crashes and brings the day-to-day operation of an organisation to a halt, the cost to the organisation can escalate. If an organisation cannot go about its normal business practices, business is lost, customers can lose faith and employees can be idle.

Organisations can plan for these eventualities by having a "downtime procedure" in place that allows employees to continue with normal operational functions when the network is done. Users can be trained to continue their work with a manual method, at least for a short time. Therefore the effect to the business of the organisation can be minimised.
