Factors affecting the design of a networked information system
When designing a network, consideration must be given to:
- How well the components can combine together
- The speed of the transfer of data
- The ease of use
- How secure the data is from unauthorised access or accidental loss and
- If the network achieves what it is supposed to do.
- Compatibility of components
- Bandwidth
- Ability to produce required information
- Cost
- Need to secure confidential information
