Group Calendaring

Many larger organisations have networked calendars for their staff. People can check their colleagues' appointments online to book meetings. Being able to use a group calendar to see whether a person is available or not is better than running to a colleague's office every fifteen minutes on an urgent matter only to find they are out of the office, in a meeting, or on the phone. You can even get the calendar to remind you of events a certain time before they happen.

Many software packages combine group calendaring, email, document sharing and other office efficiency tools into a single networked package.
